What an Honor It Is to Break into Your Dreams with an Orchestra

lyrics

With a string section in my pocket
And the brass by my side
I have entered into your conscience
A song to play through the night

With the woodwind blowing a melody
And the timpani booming in twilight
I have broken into your slumber
A song to sing you goodnight

In the corner of the room
I stand gazing and bright
I compose you this sonnet
And hazard the vagaries of half-light

With a conductor’s staff in my hand
And the drummer’s rhythm in my heart
I have danced into your dream world
A song to tremble through the night

Where is my powered wig?
Delightful and erotic
Where is my nightshade tea? Belladonna warming the night

With a string section in my pocket
And the brass by my side
I have entered into your conscience
A song to play through the night

In the corner of the room
I stand gazing and bright
I compose you this overture
Wishing you well, cutting through darkness,
My illuminating stars that will penetrate your repose
I see you! Good Night!
